Losing a loved one… spouse, parent, child, friend… is terribly traumatic. The place they occupied in life is empty. The moments for conversation, advise, and just plain laughter, are silent. Their face, mannerisms, little jokes… all the things that made them so special… are now just memories of what once was, and what you have lost. The places you used to go, the activities you used to share, the routines you used to experience, now seem foreign, even painful. You are experiencing deep heart, whether their passing was last month, last year, or several years ago. Your friends try to help, even encourage you to “move on,” but they really don’t understand how you feel. You would like to know if you will ever heal, ever be happy again.
We understand. That’s why we offer a place of hope, support, guidance, and compassion through our GriefShare Ministry. GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.
